In MGMT 485W, I gained a deeper understanding of strategic management from the perspective of top-level executives, focusing on long-term effectiveness rather than just operational efficiency. I learned how to analyze complex business situations using diagnostic reasoning, which helped me develop well-supported strategic recommendations. The course expanded my awareness of globalization and its impact on business decisions, teaching me how companies can adapt to and benefit from a global economy. I also enhanced my ability to identify and respond to ethical issues in a strategic context. Additionally, through multiple writing exercises and the development of a formal strategic report, I significantly improved my professional writing and communication skills, which are essential for success in any leadership role.
